Shaurya (शौर्य — valour) is a one-page radio for Indian patriotic music. Press play once and it keeps going: the playlist is shuffled fresh on every visit, quotes from our war heroes rotate on their own, and the background moves through a curated wall of Indian Armed Forces photographs.
It is built as a tribute — to the Army, the Navy and the Air Force, and to everyone who wore the uniform before us.

Questions
Where does the music come from?
Most tracks stream from an embedded YouTube player, with the video intentionally hidden — this is a music-only experience, and there are no downloads. Tracks marked BG in the playlist are served straight from this site instead, which is what lets them play with the screen off.
Does it keep playing when my phone locks?
For tracks marked BG in the playlist, yes — those are served from this site and play through the page's own audio element, so they survive a locked screen and appear on your lock screen with proper controls.
YouTube tracks cannot do this. Phone browsers suspend media inside an embedded third-party player, and YouTube reserves background play for Premium. For those, Shaurya just keeps your screen from sleeping on its own and picks the song back up when you return to the page.
Can I play my own YouTube playlist?
Yes. Add ?list=YOUR_PLAYLIST_ID to the URL and Shaurya will shuffle
that playlist instead of the built-in one. The playlist must be public or
unlisted.
Whose photographs are these?
All background photographs are freely licensed images of the Indian Armed Forces from Wikimedia Commons (public domain, Creative Commons, or the Government Open Data Licence – India). The credit for the photo on screen is shown in the bottom corner.
Is there a login, app, or cost?
No. No account, no ads, no paywall — just a page that plays music.
